Making a difference
Dabble has arrived as part of a life long ambition to ‘make a difference’, to do something special, to make a positive impact on the world. As a child I remember watching movies where fictional characters would inspire a nation, save the world, change peoples attitudes and become icons and heroes for all who watched.
In the early stages this inspired me and set a platform for wanting to succeed, to keep going and to never ever give up on my dreams and ambitions. As we all know growing up the fiction rarely becomes the reality.
Real life Superheroes
I then looked to real life heroes and success stories: my new inspiration came from sporting legends, business entrepreneurs and world leaders. I soon learnt you didn’t need to be a superhero, professional sports man or an intergalactic alien killing hero to make a difference, making a difference in life is not about being a hero or a legend, these are merely the title that has been unconsciously received.
Speaking up for your beliefs
Making a difference to me is the action of actually doing something to help or better yourself or others, unashamedly speaking up for your beliefs, inspiring others through my own actions and showing true leadership/support throughout the good the bad and the ugly.
Working to your strengths
I always believed people should work to their strengths to get the best possible results/returns. This is exactly what I intend to do with Dabble. Having successfully run businesses for the last 15 years I consider it to be one of my core strengths. I intend to use these skills and experiences to make a difference through the development and success of Dabble.
Our core values
To be able to give something back is part of the core values of the company: it is something that is very close to our hearts, many of the charities we support helped in our own daughter’s fight against cancer.
During her 5 year battle with brain cancer the love and support received was truly heartwarming, despite all the pain and suffering Lyndsey endured, we will remember her final years for all the laughing, joking and fun times.
